Frequently Asked Questions About Dealer-Supported CVAs
Get answers about Performance and Confidence CVAs, dealer-performed maintenance, uptime support and coverage options.
Who should choose a Performance CVA?
Performance introduces trained dealer labor and maintenance. Dealer service offers flexibility for your operation to manage downtime as well as the need for in-house mechanics or technicians. Routine maintenance, annual inspections and fluid analysis are performed by your Cat dealer.
Who should choose a Confidence CVA?
If you prefer maximum coverage and fewer financial surprises over the life of your machine, a Confidence CVA may be the best fit. Planned repairs and a Cost Per Hour (CPH) structure help reduce exposure to major, unexpected repair costs.
How can a CVA improve equipment resale value?
Dealer-documented service creates an official record showing every filter change, inspection and analysis was done right. Machines maintained under a CVA with dealer labor may qualify for Cat Certified Maintained certification, helping to add value when it’s time to upgrade or sell. Even if you start a CVA later, the documented history builds buyer confidence and helps protect your machine’s long-term value.
What if my repairs aren't completed on time?
Our Services Commitment in a CVA means that in the case of delayed service, you are eligible for Cat Credits2.
