The Cat K series delivers best-in-class electrical efficiency, producing more power at a lower total fuel cost, reducing your Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). They also have increased thermal efficiency (a 2.8% improvement) and approach 90% total efficiency in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) applications.
FLEXIBILITY
K series generator sets run at 100% rated power on more fuels – including natural gas, propane, 25% hydrogen blends*, Coal Mine Methane (CMM)*, and medium quality biogas* – and can run down to methane NR 60 without derate. They’re equipped with a built-in Cat Energy Control System (ECS), a scalable solution that offers the best in smart energy management.
* These fuels will be available later in 2026.
PERFORMANCE
Whenever and wherever you need peak performance, you’ll get it from the K Series. They start and accept 100% load in 4.5 minutes and perform at higher altitudes and higher ambient temperatures than previous models. You can depend on this reliable generator set to keep your business running and take advantage of its smaller footprint, which makes servicing easier. The K Series has been through extensive tests and is fully compliant with the main grid codes worldwide.
