How does the eSignature signing process work?

As a customer, you must have access to a mobile phone to receive an SMS text message in order to verify your identity. This keeps your information safe and assures you are the only one who can access your documents. After you verify your identity you’ll be sent an email with a link to your documents within eSignature. Our “click-to-sign” technology allows you to sign your documents, anytime, anywhere as long as you’re on a device with access to the internet (mobile phone, tablet or computer). Your Cat dealer and a help section within the site are available to guide you through this process. Next, a representative from your dealer electronically signs the documents. Last, Cat Financial receives the documents and sends you a welcome packet.

What about guarantors? Can they sign too?

Yes, eSignature allows guarantors to sign documents electronically, too. Even special documents, like extended protection and direct pay authorization, can be uploaded to be included in your eSignature document package.

What do I need to sign my eSignature documents?

As a Cat Financial customer, all you need to sign your finance documents online is internet access, an email account and a phone with SMS text capabilities.

After signing, can I download a copy of my signed documents?

Yes, after signing your documents via eSignature you will be directed to a place that allows you to download your finance documents. After processing at Cat Financial, you will receive counter-signed, fully executed copies of your finance documents that reflect your signature and the dealer’s signature.

Is online support available to help me navigate the system?
