COURSE DESCRIPTION

The 3600 Engine Rebuild ILT course is designed for both Cat® Diesel and Gas engines. The focus will be on major overhauls, engine alignment procedures, principles of failure analysis, and reusability techniques applicable to engine components.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the completion of this course, the learner will be able to: 

  • Perform Top-End Overhaul 
  • Perform In-frame Overhaul. 
  • Perform engine alignment procedures: end-play and crankshaft deflection 
  • Perform visual analysis and correct method to handle, protect, and store failed parts.
  • Prepare documentation for failure analysis and warranty claims. 
  • Use the reusability guidelines to identify which component can be reused and under what conditions.
