Fuel-Efficient Machines And Other Jobsite
Equipment that burns less fuel. Technologies that increase productivity. Operator techniques that improve efficiency. Your local Cat® dealer is ready to help you select the on-the-job options that address your business and sustainability goals. The choices you make today can make a difference.
Fuel-efficient Machines Reduce Emissions and Costs
Equipment that burns less fuel emits less CO2 in exhaust emissions. When you upgrade to newer Cat models, you benefit from improved fuel efficiency and access to technologies that help reduce fuel consumption.

Trained Operators Work More Efficiently
How your operators handle equipment plays a big role in fuel efficiency and overall jobsite performance. Taking steps to reduce idle time and taking advantage of equipment technology both contribute to reduced fuel consumption and fewer emissions. The choices you make today make a difference.
Fuel Choices Reduce Lifecycle Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Many Cat machines already operate on lower-carbon intensity fuels, including biodiesel and renewable diesel (HVO).*
*Refer to guidelines for successful application. Please consult your Cat dealer or “Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations” (SEBU6250) for details. These fuels do not reduce CO2 emissions at the tailpipe.
Renewable Diesel (HVO)
You can use 100% hydrotreated vegetable oll (HVO) as a drop-in replacement for diesel in Cat engines. No engine conversion is needed. And there's no impact on the standard warranty, maintenance intervals, fluids or filters.
Biodiesel
Biodiesel fuel can be made from vegetable oils, animal fat, and waste cooking oll, and when per recommended specifications is renewable, nontoxic, and biodegradable. Blodiesel is commonly blended with conventional diesel fuel. A majority of Caterpillar machines can use up to B20* (20% Biodiesel, 80% Diesel), and some applications can use up to B100*. Like HVO, using it won't affect your warranty or maintenance practices.
*Check with dealer for details referencing publications SEBU6250, SEBU6251 & EN15940
