When Cemex needed to support growing demand from central Texas, the challenge was not simply adding capacity. The company needed a solution that could increase production at its Balcones Quarry site while maintaining predictable operating costs.

Working with Caterpillar and Holt Cat, the Cemex team evaluated its operation using Cat® MineStar™ data. The analysis helped the team identify opportunities to improve the haulage cycle and determine the right fleet for the site.

The result was a fleet of Cat 785 mining trucks that move more material with fewer cycles, helping increase production while reducing emissions and supporting a lower cost per ton.
