Cat® Grading Beams paired with a tiltrotator can take on your grading needs. A range of grading beam widths offer options to perform tasks such as creating a pad for a sidewalk, achieving grade and finish to landscaping, or prepping a site for a commercial building.

Choose a size that fits your work best, with widths from 1250-3000 mm (49-118 in). The smaller sizes can accommodate sidewalk widths without rework, while the wider sizes can grade larger areas in a short amount of time.
Achieve an exact plan with your grading beams. When used with a tiltrotator, grading beams are compatible with your machine’s Grade technology.
Retain material better with firm, solid extended sides and side plates with height extension.
Work in clay, silt, or other wet, sticky materials and prevent them from sticking on the roller with the adjustable scraper.
Cut through piles of material with large opening on the top side of the beam for material overflow.

Use the grading beam for leveling gravel, soil and other loosematerials, to smooth surfaces, and compact ground.

The Cat PL161 attachment locator is a Bluetooth® device, standardfrom the factory on your grading beam, designed to let users knowwhere their attachments are across all worksites, reduce thenumber of lost attachments, and plan for attachment maintenanceand replacement.
Save more time and energy with the available work tool recognitionfeature. A simple shake of the attached tool confirms its identity andensures all the attachment settings (pressure, flow, and dimensions)are correct so you can work quickly and efficiently, while takingadvantage of additional ease-of-use features.
The PL161 integrates easily into VisionLink® for full fleet managementof machines and attachments from one smartphone or tablet dashboardto view location and tracking details.

Note: Work tool recognition is available on select excavator models. Automatedattachment settings must be enabled within each machine configuration.
